Doctors & Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Larry Kebo OD a proud provider of vision care products and services in Sanger.

Larry Kebo, O.D.

Dr. Kebo earned his Bachelor’s degree from Fresno State University as a Psychology undergrad. He recevied his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in 1977. He returned to his hometown of Sanger, CA to begin his optometric career, working for Dr. Harry Kang. Eventually Dr. Kebo bought the practice from Dr. Kang. Now, over 30 years later, Dr. Kebo is busier than ever. He practices in all areas of optometry with an emphasis on family vision care, contact lenses, and medical eyecare. He attends monthly educational seminars in order to stay up to date on the advances in eyecare so he can better assist his patients.

Dr. Kebo is an active member in the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and Central California Optometric Society, of which he has served on a variety of board positions. He is an active member of the Sanger Rotary Club, with board member experience. He was past president of the Sanger Chamber of Commerce and his church. He currently works with local school, civic, and government organizations to provide eye care for children of low-income families.

Dr. Kebo is happily married to his wife, Janice, a school nurse in Sanger. When not working at the practice, Dr. Kebo spends his time helping Janice on her farm, where she harvests 20 acres of grapes, persimmons and tangerines. They also enjoy traveling and learning to ballroom dance. Together, they have two daughters, Kiara and Brianna. And the family would not be complete without their five dogs and two cats.

The Staff

The staff is a wonderful asset to Dr. Kebo’s practice. They provide services in a caring and professional manner, making efforts to assist each patient in a reasonable period of time. The staff is trained in pre-testing examinations, contact lens education and training, frame and lens selection, and health care insurance administration. Jeannie, who has been with the practice for over 25 years, is a great asset to the team. She helps to manage the staff and handle office administration tasks. Rachelle, Martha, and Shelly together have over 20 years of combined experience. They assist with staff training and deal with most of the insurance paperwork. Sofia and Jeanette, the newest staff members, help the patients to check-in and start their pre-testing examinations. The entire staff works as a team to make sure the patient has a positive experience in the office.
